We are still in the meeting
Shuffling printed papers from before
Reading scores and lines of words
and grades in letters to serve as rank
We know the grades differ
We know what the grades refer
We know what grades we prefer
While no hearts are mentioned of the letters
Or grades in stats or on graph papers
We know, we've always known
In this meeting of the century
While we wait and while we meet
While we talk and while we greet
I take a look in between the glasses
to the grades and to the letters
Lazying around, reading in doubt
Memorising aloud, walking about
And one of the grades and letters I caught staring at me
A shy smile and waiting
While we are still in the meeting
